A Message from the President

Today, September 1, 2021 we commemorate the Eritrean Health Board’s (EHB) one year anniversary. We take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support and service throughout this year. We are grateful to our partners and donors, who make it possible for us to do this work. We express our sincere appreciation to our staff, volunteers, and community members who chose to dedicate their time and effort to support us and our community. Some highlights from this year include: getting research published on HIV stigma, hosting panel discussions on COVID-19, conducting information sessions on COVID-19, organizing COVID-19 vaccination pop-up clinics, participating and tabling at community events, and operating a hotline in Tigrinya, English and Arabic. Our team is growing fast and over the next year we hope to continue to expand our capacity. So much was able to be done in this first year, we look forward to the future and all that is to come.

Our Mission

The mission of the Eritrean Health Board is to promote the overall health and wellness of the Eritrean community through education, policy planning, research and advocacy for cultural humility and awareness to make healthcare more accessible.
