Dr. Astier Alem was born in Eritrea and completed all higher Education in the US. Dr. Astier received her medical training at Yale University and specialized in Kidney disease at the University of Washington. Dr. Astier completed a Masters of Science degree in Epidemiology at the University of Washington.Currently, She is in private practice and serves as a Medical Director of a dialysis Unit.In her spare time, She is active in community education about Covid-19 as well as preventative healthcare and community awareness of chronic illnesses. Dr. Astier Alem is a strong advocate of COVID-19 vaccine access to all Eritreans in the diaspora and within Eritrea.
